The Ghana Police Service has advised all political parties and their respective supporters and/or sympathizers in the country to adhere to the Public Order Act during the 2012 electioneering season.

The Commanding Officer of the Armoured Car Squadron Unit, Chief Superintendent Hamza Yakubu, said this during the Current Affairs Programme on Ghana Television dubbed ??Talking Point.?

He admitted the Police Service?s readiness to take on anybody [irrespective of social or political affiliation]  who would cause disorder during the 2012 General Elections.

The service therefore charges people not to engage in acts that would bring them into disrepute.
