The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of?the police service is currently investigating Ms. Dzidzor Mensah after she publicly claimed not to have the HIV virus but lied to join the Ghana Aids Commission?s (GAC) campaign against stigmatization of persons living with the disease, ?Heart to Heart Campaign.?

According to the police, she is being held under investigations for alleged crime of “deceit of public officer.”

However, it emerged that only persons who are HIV positive can be Ambassadors in the ?Heart to Heart? campaign, but succeeded in becoming the GAC HIV/Aids ambassador for two years, but now claims to be without the virus.

Notwithstanding, there are calls for her to go for an HIV test in order to put all the hullabaloos about her true status to rest.

In view of that, the police say, it will seek advice from the A-G?s Department on whether or not to go to court to compel the lady in question to submit herself for a test, when investigations are completed.

But the police say, they can only do that when there are enough evidence.

Also, the police can only charge her for the offence after establishing otherwise of her claims.

She is on bail and is expected to report back at the CID Headquarters next week.
