The bicycles are to ensure reliable means of transport for the recruits to enable them to efficiently perform their duties.Mr Kobina Beecham, Acting Chief Executive Officer of YEA, who presented the bicycles to the recruits in Tamale, said the YEA would provide the necessary resources to the recruits under Community Police module to make their work effective.
Mr Beecham urged the recruits to work with diligence to maintain the peace in the region.
Mr Tanko Rashid Computer, Northern Regional Director of YEA, also called on the recruits to take good care of the bicycles as they use them for its stated purpose.
Mr Rashid Computer said the second batch of recruits numbering over 200 would soon pass out from training to begin work.
Mr Iddrisu Imoro, Commander of the Community Police in the Northern Region, expressed gratitude to YEA for the presentation saying the bicycles would greatly enhance the work of the recruits.
