Information reaching newsghana.com.gh indicates that the Chief Justice, Georgina Theodora Woode has has appointed a Judge to handle all cases filed in the judicial corruption scandal.

This action was taken in order to speed up the processes to thoroughly investigate the biggest corruption scandal that has rocked the nation.

According to BBC’s Sammy Darko , the Judges will begin sitting on Tuesday 22nd of September, the same day scheduled for the public screening of the videos at the International Conference Centre.

Meanwhile 15 other officials exposed in the audio-visual tapes have been identified as staff of the Police Service, Prisons Service and Attorney- General’s Department after After a careful scrutiny of videos and other materials provided to the Judiciary by Anas and his Tiger Eye team.

They will also face sanctions through the disciplinary structures of their various organisations.

A press release issued by the Judicial Secretary , His Lordship Justice Alex B. Poku – Acheampong also confirms the latest development and also stated ?that 8 of the High Court judges who have been implicated in the recent investigative report by New Crusading Guide’s Anas Aremeyaw Anas are to file their responses to the Chief Justice by Tuesday September 22.

80 staff of the courts have been identified to be involved in bribery.

They will face disciplinary committee who will recommend appropriate sanctions for those found culpable.

The statement also disclosed that the five-member disciplinary committee which was initially constituted has adjourned sitting due to the numerous motions filed against them by the 14 lower court judges .
