Accra, Feb. 20, GNA – The Police have granted bail to Mr Osei Bonsu Amoah, Member of Parliament for Aburi-Nsawam, after his arrested in connection with the payment of the judgement debt to Mr Alfred Agbesi Woyome, a businessman last Sunday.
Police sources told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Accra that he was granted bail pending investigations into the matter.
Earlier, Mr John Owusu-Afriye, General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, who spoke to the GNA said: “I am sure the rule of law would work in this matter, so we are all waiting patiently for the outcome.”
“As I speak, the police are interrogating Mr Amoah and after that a bail would be considered because the charges preferred against him would allow… – corruption and causing financing loss to the State. I have a feeling that after the interrogation bail would be granted,” he explained.
