Plans are underway to put the Teleku-Bokazo-Salma feeder road in the Ellembelle District in a good shape to give the stretch of road leading to Tarkwa, a general facelift.

The road, which had been in a deplorable state for some time now had stagnated the socio-economic development of people in the area.

This came to light after a meeting of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the District Chief Executive Mr Kwasi Bonzo, the District Roads Engineer, Mr Bio Maikano and management of Adamus Resources Limited, a gold prospecting company in the area.

Following the intervention of the MP and the DCE, management of Adamus reiterated their resolve to give the required support to repair the road as part of their corporate social responsibility in their catchment area.

Management of Adamus however asked the MP and the DCE to seek the necessary approval from the Ghana Roads and Highway Authority for the project to take off.

For his part, the MP underscored the huge economic benefits when it is worked on.

Mr Buah said the engagement of the mining company and the DCE to rehabilitate the road to pave way for development was necessary and gave the assurance that he would ensure that the necessary approval was given to speed up maintenance works on the road.
