Some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ningo-Prampram Constituency in the Greater Accra Region on December 7 have their own electoral centres near some polling stations in Prampram.

The purpose of the centres which was spotted about 50 meters from some polling centres were to enable members of the party check their names and centres in a copy of the register in their possession.

The Ghana News Agency spotted a group of voters who were identified as NDC members around a table at about 08:25 hours busily checking their names at the Prampram Anglican Primary School which had two polling centres located there.

Another group belonging to the NPP were also seen engaging in a similar exercise some few metres from the NDC group.

Presiding Officer for the Anglican Primary School Centre ‘A’ later asked the parties to move their activities out of the premises but some of them were hesitant saying they were rather helping the Electoral Commission.

The Police election patrol team for the area was subsequently called in to remove them from the premises.
