Parliament would next Tuesday, October 29, listen to Ms Gloria Akufo, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, on how far the investigation into alleged crime of fraud against Kwesi Nyantakyi, the former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has gone.

The investigation was a request made by President Akufo-Addo following an expose in a documentary by Tiger Eye PI, an investigative organization in Accra, in which the former GFA President sought to implicate President Akufo-Addo as a partner in the alleged scandal.

The documentary exposed corruption in football administration in Ghana and other African countries.

Following the documentary, President Akufo-Addo, in May 2018, asked the Police to investigate the matter.

The Business Statement for Parliament next week, from October 29 to November 1, 2019, has pencilled next Tuesday for the Attorney General and Minister of Justice to appear before the House to answer a question on that investigation.

The statement said Mr Mohammed Abdul-Aziz, Member of Parliament for Mion, is to ask the Attorney General the status of the investigation, following which the House would be briefed.
