The embattled Director of Operations of FONKAR, Ernest Owusu-Bempah, has been granted police enquiry bail as reported earlier by Citifmonline.com.

The FONKAR kingpin has been in incarceration for over 48 hours and was reported to have gone on hunger strike.

Owusu-Bempah has been charged for publishing false news with intent to cause fear and panic.

He alleged on an Accra-based radio station Oman FM that the First lady, Mrs. Ernestina Naadu Mills, enjoyed some GHC 51 million from the judgment debt paid to businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome who is standing trial over the scandal.

After his charge was announced, Mr. Owusu-Bempah went ‘missing’ as his lawyers, family members and other members of FONKAR told Citifmonline.com they cannot find him and have not seen him after Wednesday where he was invited to appear before the BNI to answer questions on allegations he made against Mrs. Mills.
