Otiko Afisah Djaba, National Women?s Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said that the leadership of the party has an unfinished business to accomplish.

This, she said, was evidenced in the fact that the leadership of the party was unable to lead the NPP to victory in the 2012 elections.

Elected in 2010, Otiko Djaba, the current National Women?s Organizer of the NPP seeking re-election is battling the seat with two others-Tina Mensah and Mawusi Nudekor Awity.

However, she told the DAILY GUIDE in an interview at the launch of her campaign in Accra which also coincided with her 52nd birthday that the current team of the party ?has a mission to deliver?.

?I am seeking reelection because we have unfinished business, we were elected to bring the NPP to power, unfortunately, the Electoral Commission (EC) did not declare us winners. I believe that we won and when we went to court, the rule of law did not prevail,? Otiko Djaba stated, stressing that in the name of maintaining the status quo and peace, the NPP was denied the seat of government.

Alluding to the outcome of the 2012 election petition hearing, she argued that as a National Women?s Organizer who was elected to be part of the team mandated to bring the great elephant party to power, they were not declared winners of the elections.

?I believe that we were elected to work for the party to be in government and once we are not there, then we have to come back and finish it?.

She continued, ?We have an unfinished business and to bring the elephant back to restore the Ghanaian dream; the dignity that we find when the government that brings social interventions that affects the lives of the ordinary Ghanaians is in office.?

Mentioning the National Health Insurance Scheme, free education policy, among other things, Otiko Djaba was emphatic that ?it?s only the NPP that can deliver good governance to this country and reduce corruption.?
