Osei not fazed by intended Kotoko signings

Ransford Osei during his hey days in the Ghana youth team

Ransford Osei says he doesn?t feel threatened by Asante Kotoko?s intention to bring in strikers in the second transfer window.

The champions want to strengthen their attack as a cure to their profligate problem up front.

Kotoko have been extremely wasteful in attack this term ? culminating into their inability to churn out wins.

Club chairman Dr. Sarpong has already declared his determination to bring in at least two strikers to beef up the side for the second round of the campaign.

This has led to widespread speculation the already existing and misfiring strikers including Osei who is yet to score this season could be shown the exit to free up space for the incomings.

But the former Ghana youth star insists his position in the team is not under threat but rather will welcome the competition.

?I don?t feel threatened at all, rather I see it as a challenge,? he told MTNFootball.com.

?As a professional player it is only good to have other quality players competing with you for a place in the team. It only makes you better.

?So I welcome this challenge and hopefully things will go well.?
