The Falconets forward says there has been no contact with Jitex FC which made the claim

Falconets forward, Francesca Ordega, has denied claims by Swedish club Jitex FC that she is signed to them.

The 19-year-old Rivers Angels forward, who has scored four goals at the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, described the claims as false, saying, “I have been inundated with calls and mails from friends, club mates and relatives back home in Nigeria congratulating me for what I do not know anything about.”

“It is even more worrisome when there has been no contact… with the so-called club in the past or now. I am extremely sad to hear this,” she said.

The club, which claims to have an agreement with a Summer Football Centre in Nigeria, said Ordega would be the first player from Nigeria to be signed to the club.

Ordega is expected to play a key role in Saturday’s third place match against hosts of the U-20 Women’s World Cup, Japan
