Opoku Nti has disclosed that the 2-1 defeat suffered by Asante Kotoko at the hands of Algerian side MC El Eulma in the CAF Champions League was the most painful for the Reds in the 2014/15 season.

Despite suffering a similar defeat in the hands of regional rivals, New Edubiase United, at home and a 3-0 defeat to Berekum Chelsea also at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, the defeat to the Algerians broke the Porcupine Family?s hope for the season.

?We suffered a seties of defeats both home and away but the defeat to El Eulma was the most painful. It was because we did not expect to be beaten at home,? Hhe said in an interview with GHANAsoccernet.com

?That game was the turning point for the club and so when the defeat came, Heaven broke lose. All other things were falling apart. I felt so bad that even defeats to Chelsea and New Edubiase United could not wipe that pain away,? he added.

Scenes created after then Kotoko eefeat to El Eulma is  still fresh in yhe minds of many people as the players were all carried out of the stadium  in an armoured car.
