wpid-Ghana-voting-1225181475065631.jpgAs measures towards reforming and building confidence in the country?s electoral system for 2016 general election, the Electoral Commission (EC) has decided that henceforth, the recruitment of presiding officers would be based on individuals with certificates from tertiary institutions.

Those to be engaged would have to obtain first degree, HND and teachers with at least certificate A.


In the case of polling assistants, the commission would rely on Senior High School graduates with good passes.

Mr. Amadu Sulley, Deputy Chairman in charge of operations disclosed this in Accra.

Those to be recruited would be trained for at least five days so they could properly compute and compile names, data and other relevant information.
