Kwesi Nyantakyi insists officials of the Ghana FA do not take money from players with the intention of securing their places in team selections especially for major tournaments.

There are rumours of a conspiracy between some players ?especially the fringe ones ? and some key officials of the Ghana FA to influence decisions of player selections into the Black Stars ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

These officials are said to be motivated to use their influence to affect the selection of national team handlers through a pledge huge financial rewards by their ?clients?.

But GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi has dismissed these claims ? insisting national team coaches including Kwesi Appiah operate under an ?independent policy? devoid of any form of control or influence especially when it comes to selection of players.

?It is not true that officials take money from players to influence the coach?s selection,? he told Montie FM.

?What do we then make of the coach?s work? There is no point in hiring a coach and paying him so much if at the end of the day he is not the one taking decisions.

?All our coaches operate under a totally independent policy free off any interference from officials.?

Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah is expected to name a provisional 30-man squad by May 13 before trimming down his team to commence the final leg of preparations towards June?s World Cup in Brazil.
