TRIPOLI — More than 1,000 illegal immigrants on overcrowded boats have been rescued near Libya on Wednesday morning, Italian Coast Guards said.

TIKRIT, Iraq — A total of 16 were killed on Wednesday in separate clashes with Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq’s northern central province of Salahudin, a provincial security source told Xinhua.
In one attack, four suicide bombers drove their explosive-laden cars to attack the positions of the security forces and allied paramilitary militias, known as Hashd Shaabi, in the open land of Abbasiyah, just northwest of Samarra, a city located some 120 km north of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, the source said on condition of anonymity. JERUSALEM — An Israeli woman was moderately wounded and a Palestinian attacker was killed, as two attacks by Palestinians against Israelis took place in the West Bank territories in less than an hour on Wednesday afternoon.
