LONDON — Chinese President Xi Jinping, accompanied by his wife Peng Liyuan, arrived in London on Monday evening for a state visit to Britain at the invitation of Queen Elizabeth II.

WASHINGTON — Though the majority of Democrats who watched the first Democratic primary debate said Hillary Clinton clinched the victory, that win hadn’t been translated into a bounce in the numbers of support for her, a national poll said Monday.

MANILA — At least 10 people were killed and five others injured as typhoon Koppu, locally named Lando, lashed the northern Philippines for the second day, the government reported Monday night.
As of 12 p.m. local time, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said a total of 283,486 persons were affected in the regions of Ilocos, Cagayan, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Bicol and Cordillera Administrative Region, with 36 road sections and 18 bridges remains not impassable. ISLAMABAD — At least 11 people including women and kids were killed and 22 others injured when a bomb hit a passenger bus in Pakistan’s southwest Quetta city on Monday night, officials said.
Almish Khan, the inspector general of police, said that the bomb was triggered off by a timed device fixed inside the passenger bus at a terminal in Sariab Road of Quetta, the capital city of the country’s southwest Balochistan province. (Pakistan-Bombing)
