An election observer for Wednesday’s Parliamentary and Presidential elections has warned political parties not to take anything for granted.

Pleading anonymity, the observer has said just because some media houses are reporting in favor of one party or the other, does not mean that the result is final.

A quick look at as at 8th December, 6.20am, the provisional presidential results show President John Mahama in the lead. This is different from earlier claims made by the opposition.

The observer advised against giving false expectations, adding it will be dangerous for one party to ask its members to go out and jubilate.

Any party announcing results ahead of EC the observer is already in violation of the IPAK agreement and must be careful not to incur the wrath of the EC.
