FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch Junior World qualifiers hold in Sierra Leone from May 29 to June 3

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) Vice President, Dr. Tunde Morakinyo, has advised the contingent to the 2012 U-21 FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch Junior World Championships qualifiers in Sierra Leone to be good ambassadors.

Morakinyo, on Friday, told the players to remain focused at the qualifiers holding in the West African country from May 29 to June 3.

“My advice for them is to be focused, determined and not underrate any team, because other countries also want to qualify,” he said.

“If they can do this, I know they will do well at the qualifiers and, with effective preparation, they will excel at the international tournament.”

Morakinyo advised the two female players representing Nigeria at the competition, Jummai Bitrus and Promise Ebere, to accord the event the seriousness it deserved.

He was optimistic of a good outing for the Nigerian players at the championships, having had impressive showings while preparing for the qualifiers.

“The girls, I know, have been together and they have attended different competitions, so I know they will prove their skills and qualify,” Morakinyo said.

Both players leave for the qualifying championships on May 27, while the U-21 FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch Junior World Championships will hold from August 29 to September 2 in Canada
