Kofi Nti-Boakye scored Kotoko in the weekend?s win over Amidaus

Striker Kofi Nti-Boakye believes Asante Kotoko are in the best position this term to atone for their FA Cup defeat to Nania FC two seasons ago.

The Porcupine Warriors are chancing a sensational double this season following their progress to the finals of the MTN FA Cup competition where Medeama awaits.

Kotoko are also in pole position to retain their league trophy with just two games left to the end of the Ghanaian top flight.

And Nti-Boakye who scored in the semi final win over Amidaus Professionals last Sunday believes the side are well-placed to clinch their 9th FA Cup title against Medeama to more importantly atone for their extra time defeat to Nania FC in the 2011 finals.

?We stand a good position to win the trophy we lost to Nania FC two seasons ago,? he told the club?s website.

?We declared immediately after our exit from the CAF Champions League that we would win both the league and the FA Cup to appease the fans.

?Luckily we are strong contenders in both competitions and we will work hard to deliver both trophies. Medeama cannot be an impediment.?

The Ghanaian champions will face Medeama in the grand finale of this year?s FA Cup contest on June 15 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
