Nsawam Police Football Team Wins Gala Cup

The Nsawam Police football team, “Marian Stars” beat Gamgaba Stars of Adoagyiri Zongo 1-0 at the finals of a friendly football gala competition, at the Adoagyiri C.Y.O. Park, to lift the cup.

The competition saw participants like, Icilian Stars of Sabon Zongo, Amoakrom Eleven, Opeyin Eleven of Adoagyiri Zongo and Kpalugu Eleven of Sabon Zongo all in the Eastern Region.

Mr. Sam Frimpong Manso, the Nsawam Police District Crime Officer, who spoke to the GNA Sports after the finas, said, the game was organised to develop cordial relationship among the people, especially the youth in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality.

The cup, was jointly presented to the Police team by Alhaji Lawah, the Eastern Regional Chairman of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Mr. Abdul Karimu Zito, the former Asante Kotoko Coach and was received by captain Abu Idrisu of the Police team.
