THE WOMEN?S wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Sekondi constituency has presented assorted items to the Maternity Unit of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital as part of activities marking its inauguration.

The items estimated at a cost of GH?800 including bed sheets,  soap and toilet paper was meant to help improve health care delivery at the unit. Making the presentation, Angela Naana Christian, NPP Sekondi Constituency Women?s Organizer remarked that the women?s wing of the party decided to make the presentation in appreciation of the hospital?s continued health care delivery particularly to mothers in the community.

She indicated that during a recent visit to the maternity unit of the hospital, it was revealed that the unit needed essential items badly so she thought it wise to make the presentation as part of programmes marking the inauguration of the women?s wing.

She used the occasion to mention other activities earmarked for the inauguration as a clean-up exercise at the Sekondi Market Circle, a talk on the role of women in politics and a prayer meeting.

Receiving the items, Beatrice Mochia, Deputy Director of Nursing Services at the Effia-Nkwanta Hospital thanked the NPP women for their kindness and assured that the items would be put to good use.
