A pro NDC group calling itself, the Savannah Youth Advocacy and Research Forum (SAYARF) in Tamale has challenged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to narrow its debate on the ruling government?s achievements in the context of the last three years.

The group at a news conference indicated that the NDC government?s achievements in the last three years are incomparable with that of the NPP during its first tenure of office.

It?s President, Tommy Alolga Duncan commended the late President John Mills for developing the three northern regions.

He pointed to the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) as one of the well thought initiatives which according him is succeeding in bridging the development disparities between the north and south.

On health and sanitation, the group commended the NDC for the rehabilitation and upgrading of the Tamale Teaching Hospital.

Furthermore, it noted that the NDC administration as part of its Better Ghana agenda has built five polyclinics at Karaga, Kpandai, Tatale, Janga and Chereponi.

Also the group made reference to the establishment of a Shea-nut Processing factory in Buipe, the LESDEP and YESDEP programmes which have created job opportunities for hundreds of people in the northern region.

The group nonetheless added its voice to calls for violence free elections this year.
