Following the insecurity in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States, the management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has suspended the services of the scheme there but any Corps member who flouts this directive should be ready to face the consequences of his or her action.

Director General of NYSC, Brig-General Johnson Olawumi stated this in Calabar Wednesday while fielding questions from newsmen shortly after the commencement of the Annual Management Conference of the scheme holding in the Cross River State capital.

This statement,  according to him, is coming on the heels of the discovery that some stubborn corps members posted outside these violence-prone states do find their way there to make more money that is often used as a bait by State Governments to attract them.
