“The peace is more enduring and gratifying for us in Borno and other parts of Northeast Nigeria,” said Victor Ezugwu, the general commanding officer of the Nigerian army.

He urged all Nigerians to support the military to secure the nation’s success against the terrorist group of Boko Haram, which is responsible for thousands of deaths in the nation since 2009.

He also praised accurate information, support and advice provided by civil society organizations and nongovernmental organizations to the military in anti-terror operations, which he said have promoted the exchanges between civil groups and the military. Enditem
