He said the Region would continue to create an enabling environment for the Nigerian community in the Region to feel at home and do their business.

Mr Antwi-Boasiako gave the assurance when a delegation led by the King of the Igbo community in Ghana, Dr. Chukwudi J. Ihenetu paid a courtesy call on him at Koforidua.

Mr. Antwi-Boasiako said the Eastern Region was endowed with a lot of natural resources and investment opportunities and appealed to the Nigerian community in Ghana to look at the possibility of investing in the Region.

Dr Ihenetu said most Nigerians in the country had set up their own businesses and when public officials intimidated them they became uncomfortable.

He said Nigerians were law abiding people who would always respect the laws and traditions of their host countries.

Chief Onyema Ndaraku, National President of Igbo Community in Ghana, appealed to the Minister to help protect the Nigerian community in the Region from intimidation and issues that could disrupt their business.
