Two police officers with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Kwara State Command, Ilorin have bagged three and two years ?imprisonment respectively without an option of fine for violating the provisions of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000.

Sergeant Alih Tenimu and Corporal Salawudeen Abubakar were said to have demanded and collected N800,000 bribe from a suspect involved in a criminal matter.

It was gathered that the policemen, alongside ?one Amodu Adamson, (now deceased), asked one Bello Manisara to pay them ?N800,000 in order to close the case of criminal breach of trust, and threat to life, being investigated by them.
