In line with its core value of contributing positively to the society, the National Investment Bank Limited (NIB) has offered financial assistance worth over GH?15,000.00 to some selected corporate bodies. The gesture was also in line with activities earmarked for the Bank?s year-long Golden Jubilee celebrations.

The beneficiary organisations were the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Red Cross Society and the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT).

In a short but impressive ceremony held at the Bank?s premises on 30th May, Mr. D. K. Mensah, a member of the board who chaired the occasion highlighted the Bank?s commitment to ensuring that good causes that were presented to the Bank were adequately supported.

Receiving the cheque on behalf of the CID, Mr. A. Amponsah-Asiamah, Director-Administration/CID expressed his delight at what the Bank had done. He stated that the Department was on a capacity-building initiative to address incidents of cybercrime in the country. The funds, he added, were to be used in organising a two-week training programme for some selected detectives.

The Youth Organizer and Head of Operations for Greater Accra of the Ghana Red Cross Society, Madam Catherine Adasu was thankful for the Bank?s yearly support.? She assured the Board and Management of NIB that the Society was going to use the funds to train more First Aiders in accident-prone areas in Accra.

The Regional Secretary of GNAT, Gifty Apandil and her Deputy, Mr. Asare-Yamoah were pleased for the support the Bank had given the Association for the Greater Accra Quadrennial Delegates Conference.

Also present at the ceremony were Madam Elizabeth Solomon, Chairperson of the Board and Pemampem Yaw Kagbrese V, the Yejihene and Chairman of the Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs.
