Accounts of PARCEM that were frozen were also reopened.

On March 25, Burundian Attorney General Valentin Bagorikunda lifted the measure of suspending two local nongovernmental organizations – the Burundian organization advocating change of mentalities (PARCEM) and the Burundian Catholic Lawyers’ Association (AJCB).

The PARCEM and the AJCB are among dozens of local nongovernmental that were suspended after the attorney general accused them of being behind the organization of protests against the third term bid of Burundian President Pierre Nkurunziza in April 2015. Endit
