The peculiarity of the Anambra political terrain appears to never fail the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] each time a gubernatorial governorship election rolls by. Information available to from Awka, the capital of Anambra State indicates that the PDP congresses held today may have resulted to a stalemate. According to a firsthand report received, ?it was complains galore in virtually all the 326 wards of the PDP in Anambra state where the delegates election to choose the 3-man delegates for August 24 Governorship Primary election supposed to hold?.

As learnt, the PDP Congress exercise appears split into factions ? of which the congress committee led by former Senate President Chief Adolphus Wabara failed to show up with the materials as at 6.30pm at one of the PDP factions. When journalist sought to get the comments of Chief Wabara, he was said to be too busy to speak but the factional state chairman of the party, Ken Emeakayi said he would only speak formally after the committee meets and addresses the press first.

Meanwhile, the other factional group led by Chief Chris Uba who is a member of the PDP Board of Trustee held their own congress. Sources from the Marble Arch Hotels/Towers, Awka, venue and secretariat of the Wabara committee allege that the Wabara team may have sided with the Chief Chris Uba led team of the PDP ? as the officially recognized faction.
