Former Chelsea star Michael Essien yesterday lambasted detractors who were spreading false information to the effect that he had failed his medicals with Italian giants AC Milan.

At the weekend, online sites went viral with news that Essien had failed his medical at the La Madonnina Clinic, but it emerged later that the Bison had passed the medicals and was set to sign a deal today.

The report of his failure had gained so much currency that Essien tweeted: ?Haters will broadcast your failure but whisper your success. Medicals done. Looking forward to start my new life with AC MIlan. # jahbless?.

AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf praised Essien for his enormous qualities, describing him as a Warrior.

The Dutchman Seedorf was appointed two weeks ago to stop Milan?s deteriorating form in the Serie A and he believes the Ghana international can be part of the solution.
?I know him well. He has great character and is a great player. He?s a man and a warrior who really wants to make his mark ahead of the World Cup,? Seedorf said.
?He?ll bring qualities both on and off the field. Essien can play very well in the two midfielders in front of the defence.?
Essien has agreed an 18-month contract after being released by English side Chelsea where he spent nine years.
He was down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge this season where he made five League appearances under manager Jose Mourinho.

Meanwhile, Sulley Muntari says he and his new AC Milan team-mate Michael Essien must concentrate on their club duties before thinking about the FIFA World Cup finals.
?Essien is happy and he?s a great player, we all know his talent. He has a lot of experience in Europe and has played for big clubs,? Muntari said.
?Now he?s here at another great club. He?ll be thinking about how he can help this team. First comes Milan and then our national side Ghana.
