NBC is giving a vote of confidence to a new drama from Oscar-winning writer Graham Moore. The network has given the viral-outbreak drama, which is still untitled, a straight-to-series order. ?World War Z? director Marc Forster is also shepherding the project.

The series is described as a candid look at an outbreak that pushes its characters to extremes, revealing the best ? and very worst ? humanity has to offer. According to the logline, the drama starts when a woman exhibits mysterious symptoms, and she and her loved ones find themselves at the center of an epidemic with global consequences. Meanwhile, across the world, an FBI agent investigates a seemingly unrelated terrorist attack that leads him to the brink of madness.

Moore, who made his feature debut with ?The Imitation Game?, will executive produce and write the series, while Forster is on board as executive producer and director. Nora Grossman and Ido Ostrowsky will also executive produce the series, with Jillian Kugler as co-executive producer.

The first season of the viral-outbreak drama will consist of 10 episodes. The premiere date is yet to be announced.
