The Nandom Senior High School Old Boys Association (NASSOBA) is appealing to Ghana Education Service to launch full scale investigations into circumstances surrounding the removal of the Headmaster alongside the school Accountant.

The Headmaster of School Reverend Brother Joachim Naah together with the Accountant Mr Rudolph Tengepare were allegedly removed from offices by Ghana Education Service (GES) for allegedly violating GES procedures and collection of school fees.

NASSOBA therefore wants full scale investigations from the GES on the allegations levelled against the Headmaster and the Accountant leading to their subsequent dismissals to prove them guilty or the otherwise it.

In a news release issued by NASSOBA President, Mr Sylvester Dery and copied to GNA said “the leadership and entire membership of the Nandom Senior High School Old Boys Association (NASSOBA) has noted with grave concern a publications on the issue. And are more concerned.

According to the statement, the disciplinary procedures stipulated in the Ghana Education Service Act, 1995 (Act 506) were not complied with before the disciplinary actions were taken against the Headmaster and the Accountant of the school.

The statement said “We express grave reservations that the disciplinary measures taken against the Headmaster and the Accountant were in clear violation of the rules of natural justice, in that the Headmaster and the Accountant were apparently not given a hearing before the serious punishment was meted out to them”.

The statement further stated that the disciplinary measures were taken without recourse to the Board of Governors of Nandom Senior High school which NASSOBA was representing.

It also said much as NASSOBA did not condone any wrong doing by the Headmaster and the Accountant, they equally do not approve the severe disciplinary actions taken against the Headmaster and the accountant without due process.

The statement continued that the investigations would put to rest rumours that the Headmaster was being targeted for removal due to disciplinary measures he instituted in the school.
