After three decades of chieftaincy disputes between two royal families, Nana Kwabena Amankwah has officially been enstooled as the Chief of Akyem Chia, ushering in a new era of unity and leadership for the community.
The ceremony was conducted by Daasebre Ofosu Kwabi Ayebiawhe, Second-in-Command of the Benkum Division of Okyeman, Overlord of Odau, and Chief of Akyem Etwereso, who formally swore in Nana Kwabena Amankwah.
Additionally, Osabarima Twieampomah III, Second-in-Command of the Odau Division of Okyeman and Chief of Asante-Akyem Banka, guided the new chief through the recitation of the traditional oath to Akyem Chia and Okyeman.

The Queen Mother of Akyem Chia, Nana Ntiamoah Boadiwaa, expressed heartfelt relief, noting the struggles endured over the years to secure a rightful chief for the people of Akyem Chia. She emphasized the significance of this moment for the stability and progress of the community.
