Abu Jinapor, an aide to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, says the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is incorruptible, stressing that corruption-related issues will take center stage in the party?s campaign to capture power in the December polls.

He said, ?Nana Akufo Addo, the presidential candidate of the NPP has a proven record of being an honest person both in his public and private life.?

?I want to ask my brothers in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) if they could also make noise about the sincere nature of their leader??he quizzed.

Addressing students of Offinso College of Education during Nana Akufo-Addo?s tour of the Ashanti region, Mr. Jinapor stated that the NPP presidential candidate had not been cited in any corruption case in his career spanning decades.

He said members of the ruling party would have crucified the NPP presidential candidate if he had been found culpable in any corrupt case in the past.

Mr. Jinapor observed that the NDC members, especially their leaders, were not comfortable with the campaign on corruption.

The aide said corruption would be the focal point for the party?s campaign this year.

He stressed that corruption would not be relegated to the background, adding ?we shall make corruption an issue on which the electorate should consider whilst casting their votes.?

Mr. Jinapor bemoaned dubious judgment debts by the governing NDC government, stressing that the country needed an honest person like Nana Akufo Addo to steer its affairs.

He was optimistic the former foreign affairs minister would effectively deal with cases relating to corruption.

The Ghanaians, he pointed out, would continue to wallow in adverse poverty if the incompetent NDC administration was retained in the December general elections, noting that the NDC don?t have anything good to offer Ghanaians.

Mr. Jinapor therefore entreated the electorate to give their mandate to Nana Akufo Addo in order to restore hope and provide a better future for the country and its citizens, notably the youth who are the future leaders.

Nana Akufo-Addo was accompanied by party gurus like Dr. Addo Kufuor, former MP, Manhyia, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, the Kwadaso MP, among other party gurus, during his campaign tour.

The NPP presidential candidate would stay in the area for 10 days during which he would visit the various constituencies and share his vision for Ghana with the electorate.
