Namibians are to host a human rights campaign known as “The Journey” from June 12 to 14 under the theme “My Voice, My Power, Our Healing”. The event was launched Friday by the chairperson of the National Council, Margaret Mensah-Williams in Windhoek.

Mensah-Williams said topics such as human trafficking, drugs and alcohol abuse, abortion, child marriage and child abuse, bullying, gender-based violence, rape, suicide, and homelessness, among others will be on discussion.

“We will use professionally curated educational theatre, song & dance, poetry, visual art and dialogue to visualize these topics and drive the message home,” Mensah-Williams said.

The Journey is being organized by the National Council together with civil society partners, the UN, stakeholders from government, traditional authorities and church leaders. Enditem
