Namibia’s Minister of Finance, Calle Schlettwein will deliver the Mid-Term budget review for 2019/20 on Tuesday at the National Assembly.

The mid-term review is aimed at announcing policies to support the economy and address micro-fiscal risks.

Investment research firm analyst at Simonis Storm Securities (SSS) on Monday said they are concerned whether this budget will ensure macro-economic stability.

“We expect the mid-term budget to give a clear indication of the state’s finances and provide clarity on how it will deal with cash-consuming state-owned enterprises,” they added.

According to SSS, during the minister’s annual budget review for 2019/20, the minister aimed to stimulate economic growth, bring about decent jobs, and further adjust the public fiscal stance to sustainable levels. Enditem
