Namibia’s Minister of Finance Calle Schlettwein on Tuesday said there is hope for some economic recovery in 2020 in the southern African nation.

Namibia has been in a recession for almost three years. In the third quarter of 2019, economic activities shrank a further 0.8 percent in real value.

The minister further called on Namibians to stand together against racism and tribalism, while calling for an end to corruption. “We must transform our economy for growth and equality, we must kill corruption,” Schlettwein noted. Enditem
