On her first visit to South Africa, Mzbel decided to go with copies of four albums ‘Awoso Me’, ’16 Years’, ‘Kiss Me’ and ‘Saucy Girl’ as well as two singles of her yet to be released fifth album ‘I Swear’ and ‘My Bonnet’.

Little did she know that, a track on her second album would grab her a deal. In South Africa, Mzbel visited several places. She performed on MNET’s Good Morning Africa program after which she was interviewed.

I’m sure you would want to know why she is shooting a video for a track she released several years ago.

She told GhanaCelebrities.Com that, her songs get rotations on several platforms. One of her tracks that has enjoyed enough buzz is ‘Mama Sweet’, a track on her second album ‘16 Years’ dedicated to her mother. She had to sign some deals to enable her recoup some funds as royalties from her music.

She was therefore advised to shoot a video to help in the promotion. This means more royalties for her.

The song featured Lazzy, a member of Hiplife trio, VIP. The video is directed by Okyeame Quophi of Emklan Entertainment. The video is basically about Mzbel and her brother singing to their mother on her 50th birthday with flash back of the hard times when they were growing up.

Locations for the video included James Town and Mzbel’s Gbewaa residence.
