Midfielder Sulley Muntari Ghana newsMidfielder Sulley Muntari hopes AC Milan can pip Juventus to the Serie A title in the remaining matches of the 2011-12 campaign.
The reigning champions are now just a point behind in the title race after Juvenus drew 1-1 with Lecce on Wednesday.
Muntari is now praying for another Juve slip-up in the final two games as his team aims to retain the Scudetto.
“We’re happy to have played a great game even if we suffered a lot. It’s not easy to play and to have to wait for the Juventus result as well, but that’s the way it goes at the end of the season,” Muntari said.
“We’re a great team and we want to get as high on the table as we possibly can. We have two games left, and I pray that we’ll be able to get past them (Juventus) in the league table.”
Milan face cross-town rivals Inter and Novara in their final two matches this season.
