Dr. Kwame Abrokwaa Yankyera, one of eight plastic surgeons in Ghana, who has dedicated his expensive services to treating folks in the rural Ghana won the ultimate prize of the MTN heroes of change project worth an amount of Ghc 60, 000. 

The MTN Heroes of Change programme seeks to unearth and celebrate people who have engaged in extraordinary activities in their communities. These individuals go through a lot of struggle, and make personal sacrifices for others to succeed but their stories remain untold.

It is to the recognition of such extraordinary individuals that the MTN Foundation instituted an Awards night to recognize these extraordinary individuals to honour them and to encourage them to continue dedicating their services to the socio economic development of their communities.

The rest of the finalists went home Ghc10, 000 each. Among them are, Mr. Emmanuel Ashie Neequayen from James town, Mr osei Safo kantaka from Kumasi, Mr. Richard Achumboru from Upper East, Mr Barima Antwi, John Akortia an inmate at the Nsawam prison. Amadu Mohammed from Maamobi, Lilly Akua Minta from Tema, Ms Patricia, an American of B.A.S.I.C.S international, Mr Ken Addae, a human rights activist on Women Affairs, and Abena Antwi, who seeks to assist female juvenile prisoners.
