MTN Ghana Transforms

MTN Ghana the leading telecommunications service provider has impacted more than four million lives with over USD 13 million through its Corporate Social Responsibility activities in Ghana.

MTN Ghana TransformsThrough the MTN Ghana Foundation, the company has improved access to healthcare, quality education and also by improving the economic livelihood of the masses with over 142 major projects.

The Senior Manager, Sales Operations & Trade Marketing, MTN Ghana, Nii Adotey Mingle, made this known when the company presented some valuable items to Ngleshie Alata Traditional Council in support of this year’s Homowo festival.

The items donated include: a cheque of GH 5,000.00, MTN Airtime worth GH 500.00 and a hamper of drinks.

According to him, as an African Multinational, MTN has over the years committed to supporting and promoting the rich Ghanaian heritage through festivals.

Adding that, as a result of this, they have committed their resources to support selected traditional festivals each year across the country.

In line with this commitment, MTN is here to lend our support to the people of Ngleshie Alata you celebrate the Homowo.

“Though we have had several interactions with the Traditional Council over the years and enjoyed very cordial relationships, this is the first time we partnering to celebrate Homowo together

We are indeed excited because according to the history of our country, Ngleshie Alata people are part of the rich cultural heritage of Ghana which we have devoted to projecting over the past 10 years,” he explained.

According to him, MTN has also set aside the month of August as the MTN Mobile Money Month, a time set aside to promote the use of Mobile Money and its diverse benefits to individuals businesses.

Adding that, MTN will also organize a Community Forum to educate members of the community.

And also, caution them on the tactics criminals are using to fraud Ghanaians on the Mobile Money platform.

He said, they will carry out data activation throughout the festive period at vantage points to give their valued customers an experiential of the benefits of their internet and which include fastest 4G LTE services.

We will ensure that during the festive period, products and are available to all and sundry. We will continue to invest in sustainable projects as we strive to brighten the lives of the people in the communities which we operate”, Nii Adotey Mingle, added.

The Paramount Chief of Ngleshie Alata Traditional Area, Oblempong Nii Kojo Ababio V, commended MTN Ghana for their unwavering support. He cordially invited MTN to join them celebrate this year’s festival in order to make it a memorable one.
