MTN Ghana won three awards at the just ended Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) awards ceremony held at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra.

The three awards won are; Print Media Advert of the Year (MTN Just 4U), Television Advert of the Year (MTN Ntosu?) and Outdoor Advert of the Year (Mobile Money).

MTN ?Just4U? advert was a campaign to reward subscribers. The Just4U advert combined a catchy phrase ?Just4U?and used visuals to reach its audience.

Excerpt of the citation for the award read: ?You have used print to depict your brand essence which connotes being a community that lives the passion and champions the aspirations of its customers and not a company.

? MTN is indeed honoured by this and it reflects our desire to always delight our customers,? the statement said.

MTN Ntusu? advert which ran on television used the local parlance to vividly convey the idea of having a bonus whenever subscribers made a purchase.

MTN Mobile Money won the CIMG Outdoor Advert of the Year.

A part of the citation read: ?You aimed to end the hassle and bustle of the Ghanaian per meeting their schedules and this is well communicated via your outdoor advert.?

Commenting on the awards, the Chief Marketing Officer, Mr Rahul De said: ?winning the most awards at the ceremony goes to acknowledge MTN?s commitment to leading innovation and identifying with Ghana?s market. MTN Ghana is humbled to receive the three awards; it will further motivate MTN Ghana?s staff to cherish creativity and innovation.?

The CIMG National Marketing Performance Awards is a high-profile event that acknowledges individuals and organisations for marketing excellence and innovation.

The awards seek among other things, to promote high professional standards and to encourage excellence among marketing practitioners. It also aims at ensuring the provision of high quality products and services.

This year?s event was on the theme: ?Twenty Five Years of Promoting Corporate Excellence: the Impact of CIMG Marketing Performance Awards.?

The MTN Ghana delegation to the event was led by Richard Acheampong who is the General Manager, MTN Marketing Services.
