MTN Ghana secured four honors at the 2025 Project Management Excellence Awards, including the premier PMO of the Year title, cementing its industry leadership.
According to official records, the telecom leader’s Project Management Office earned top recognition for strategic execution and value delivery at Wednesday’s ceremony in Ada.
The event followed Ghana’s National Project Management Conference themed “Innovating for Prosperity,” exploring project management’s role in national development.
The NextGen MoMo App claimed Telecom Project of the Year, advancing MTN’s fintech vision through features like biometric authentication and digital lending.
Selorm Kove placed as 1st Runner-Up for Project Manager of the Year for accelerating MiMO deployments, while the Massive-MiMo network upgrade took 2nd Runner-Up for Project of the Year after boosting data speeds eightfold in congested zones.
Senior Manager Emmanuel Afutu accepted the awards, affirming MTN’s commitment to resilient project standards.
Chief Transformation Officer William Tetteh credited the wins to cross-departmental collaboration and rigorous risk management, stating the approach enables swift response to market challenges.
The honors reinforce MTN’s progress toward its Ambition 2025 strategy, which prioritizes digital innovation for African advancement.
