MTN Ghana has partnered with smartphone manufacturer Infinix to introduce the Note 60 Series to the Ghanaian market, a move aimed at expanding access to affordable smartphones and accelerating digital inclusion across the country.

The partnership seeks to make modern smartphones more accessible to Ghanaians while enabling more people to participate fully in the digital economy.

Devices Manager At Mtn Ghana Abena Caesar

Speaking at the launch, Devices Manager at MTN Ghana, Abena Caesar, said the collaboration goes beyond device sales and focuses on empowering more people through technology.

According to her, smartphones have become powerful tools for economic participation, enabling entrepreneurs to manage businesses, creators to reach wider audiences and students to access knowledge beyond the classroom.

“Our partnership with Infinix is built on a shared commitment to place the power of the internet into the hands of every Ghanaian,” she said.

“By expanding access to quality smartphones, we are helping reduce digital exclusion and enabling more people to participate meaningfully in the digital economy.”

As part of the launch, customers who purchase any device from the Note 60 Series and insert an MTN SIM card will receive 2GB of free data every month for six months. The offer will activate automatically once the device connects to the network.

Ms. Caesar noted that the partnership also introduces flexible payment options aimed at making the smartphones more affordable for consumers.

“We want more people to own smartphones even if they cannot pay the full amount upfront,” she explained. “Customers can make an initial deposit and spread the remaining payment over four to six months depending on the device.”

She added that the initiative also supports Ghana’s transition from legacy mobile networks to faster connectivity.

“As the world accelerates into 5G and prepares for 6G, it is important that we move more customers from 2G and 3G to 4G so they can enjoy richer digital experiences,” she said.

Another Retail Manager at Infinix, Nii-Ayiku Mensah, highlighted the brand’s expanding retail presence in Ghana, noting that the devices will be available in more than 800 outlets nationwide, including MTN outlets and other partner retail stores.

He explained that the three devices in the new lineup — Note 60 Edge, Note 60 Pro and Note 60 Ultra — were designed to meet the needs of a wide range of users, from students to professionals.
