The Member of Parliament (MP) for Shama in the Western Region, Mr Ato Panford has stated that the Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party government was on track in its bid to accomplish most campaign promises within two years in office.

He said the government despite the great achievement in two years would not renege, but would put in place good schemes, programmes and policies to advance the pace of growth and development in the country.

The MP in an interview with the GNA said if the government was placed on a scale of one to ten, it would record eight because of the good works and development it had brought to the country in a space of two years.

He said the measures and interventions the government had rolled out were clear manifestations of its intention to liberate the country from economic hardship.

The Shama MP was optimistic that the Akufo-Addo-led government would definitely deliver the country by transformational policies and moves such as the appointment of a Special Prosecutor to help to fight corruption.

He pointed out that all the three arms of government—Legislature, Judiciary and the Executive had performed well which helped the government to fulfil about 75 per cent of its manifesto promises in two years.

He pointed out that the country would witness massive infrastructural development in 2019 to improve on the living standards of the citizens.

He implored Ghanaians to exercise patience since many of government’s programmes of interventions were geared towards improving on their standards of living.
