The President of Mozambique Filipe Nyusi on Saturday launched an integrated project to build 4,000 km of rural roads in the central and northern regions of the country.

According to the president, the project aiming to facilitate access in regions with great agricultural and fishing potential will make it possible to transport about 2.5 million tones of products and benefit more than 2 million people.

“We are convinced that with this project we have found part of the solution to the problem in order to have passable access routes and to increase the production and productivity of these regions,” said the president.

Funded by the Mozambican government and the World Bank, the project includes the rehabilitation of roads and construction of bridges, to facilitate transit ability in raining season. Enditem
