The Metropolitan Catholic Archbishop of Kumasi, the Most Reverend Gabriel Justice Y. Anokye, has urged Christians to set examples in integrity and accountability to assist pull back the society from the course of greed and selfishness.

He said they needed to provide leadership by standing up for what was right, noble and just.


He was dedicating a Chapel and Mission House built at a total cost of GH?570,000.00 for the Tarkwa-Maakro Saint Joseph?s Parish in Kumasi.

The parish, which started as an outstation in 1962 with just six people, now has a membership of 800.

Archbishop Anokye appealed to the congregation to remain steadfast in the faith and hold together to sustain the church on the path of growth.

He saidthey should be prayerful and to be wary of the false teachings and confused messages by the charlatans out there to deceive, cheat and dupe people and condemned the growing commercialization of the church and said that was unhealthy. GNA
