Medeama president Moses Armah has told he will not contest his seat on the Ghana FA Executive Committee during the next elections in September.

The highly-respected football administrator wants to concentrate on building his team and will therefore not seek for re-election.

Armah, a business tycoon, has been a member of the powerful Ghana FA Executive Committee since 2011.

He was a member of the Black Stars management committee until he relinguish his position after Ghana?s wrecked World Cup campaign in Brazil last year.

?I will not seek for re-election. I want to focus on my team and ensure we do well,? he told

?Lots of work to be done and combining my personal work with that of the FA has been cumbersome.

?I want want to focus on Medeama and see what happens. It?s always a duty to serve Ghana football in any capacity but at the moment, I want to take a back seat.?

The Ghana FA goes to the polls in September this year to elect new officers to run the federation for the next four years.

Incumbent Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi is hugely tipped to win a third consecutive bid at the presidency with the likes of George Afriyie, Fred Crentsil and Fred Pappoe expected to retain their seat on the powerful Executive Committee.
