Mohammed Polo has taken another swipe at coach Herbert Addo, saying the experienced trainer is struggling at Hearts of Oak because he didn?t play at the highest level.

Polo was replaced by Addo at the end of last season in a dismal campaign.

The club legend struggled to win the affection of the fans after replacing the famous David Duncan who was sacked midway through Hearts? revival in November 2013.

The ?Dribbling Magician? as he is affectionately called occasionally aims scathing attacks on the club and its officials especially when results go bad and claims the credit whenever important wins are secured.

Polo now says Herbert Addo is struggling for consistency because he never played football to the highest level.

?He [Herbert Addo] is still struggling, you can see that,? Polo said.

?He went to Mali to beat them [Djoliba] and came back home to lose.

?We need coaches who have not just read the books but have played to the highest level.

?If you look at Europe that is what is happening. Former players are now coaches.?

Hearts have made up for their inconsistent domestic form by exceeding expectations in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Phobians must now beat Esperance over two legs to make it to the group stage of the competition.
